Humanists believe we must live this life on the basis that it's the only life we'll have -- therefore, we must make the most of it for ourselves, for each other, and for our world. Secular humanism provides the basis for a fulfilling and ethical life without religion, inspired by humanity and guided by reason.
Humanists believe that moral values are properly founded on human empathy and are discovered through the arts and scientific understanding.
Secular humanists see no convincing evidence for gods, the supernatural, or life after death.
The Windsor Humanist Society has evolved over these past 10 years from a small group living throughout Essex County who share these principles - The Windsor Humanist Society is the local affiliate of Humanist Canada.
